Antic Hoiho Sound Hand Puppet

This plush puppet is part of a collection designed & distributed by Antics of NZ. Featuring Native Birds, Reptiles & Marine Mammals of New Zealand with their authentic recorded sound to hear at the push of a button! All puppets have a jointed swivel neck. Age 3+

Native to NZ the Hoiho can be found on the southeast coast of the South Island as well as Stewart, Auckland & Campbell Islands. They grow up to 79cm, weighting up to18kgs. Hoiho swim up to 25km from shore and dive up to 120m to forage on the bottom of the ocean. They have yellow eyes and a distinctive band of yellow feathers running from their eyes around the back of the head. There are only about 1700 breeding pairs left.
