The Ki-16 "Hayabusa" fighter, a highly successful ace, now features
new decals. This set includes a wealth of bonus decals.
This fighter boasted the second-highest production volume in Japanese history, second only to the Zero fighter.
It also served until the end of the Pacific War.
In 1944, it was exported to Thailand and painted with a white elephant marking.
It's said that Hayabusa units participated in operations in southern China, but in August 1945, they were repainted with the snake-eye markings of the Royal Thai Air Force. Some remained in service until 1949.
This product features a two-bladed propeller design.
Panel lines are reproduced with recessed molding.
The decals include unit markings and aircraft numbers to recreate the aircraft of Major Kato, commander of the 64th Squadron, in Burma in the spring of 1942, and Major Sugiura, commander of the 11th Squadron, in Burma in October 1942.
Bonus features include unit markings for the 1st and 11th Squadrons, including "Ming" and "Jo."
